Who makes the Kilgarlin prayer cards?

The Kilgarlin prayer cards are created by Shawn Kilgarlin. Shawn thoughtfully designs and curates each card as part of a growing devotional collection rooted in Catholic faith, prayer, and spiritual encouragement.

As a wife, mother of four, and mental health clinician, she has seen firsthand the many burdens people carry — anxiety, grief, fear, addiction, and spiritual struggle. Her mission is to create prayer cards that meet people in those real human experiences and gently point them back to God.

Each card is part of her larger vision: to leave a legacy of prayer for the world.

Who designed the artwork?

The artwork featured on ShopCatholic prayer cards includes traditional Catholic sacred art as well as thoughtfully curated devotional imagery chosen by Shawn Kilgarlin.

Each design is selected to reflect the beauty of Catholic tradition and the lived human experience of faith — hope, protection, healing, and surrender to God.

Shawn’s future collections will continue expanding into themes such as peace in anxiety, healing from addiction, and spiritual restoration, always centered on prayer rather than diagnosis or treatment.

A Note from Shawn

This collection was created with a simple intention: to leave behind something that helps people pray.

As a wife, mother, and mental health clinician, I have walked with individuals through anxiety, addiction, grief, and life transitions. Over time, I came to see that beneath every struggle is the same human longing — for peace, for meaning, and for God.

These prayer cards are my way of honoring that journey. My hope is that they become part of your daily life, your healing, and your faith.
