Our Father Prayer Kilgarlin Laminated Prayer Card
- Description
Jesus was asked only once how to pray. And He answered with these words.
The Our Father — the Lord’s Prayer — is the most prayed prayer in all of Christianity. It crosses denominations, languages, and centuries. Catholics pray it at every Mass. Children learn it before they learn almost anything else about faith. And in moments of grief, fear, or overwhelming joy, it’s often the first prayer that rises to the lips.
This laminated Our Father prayer card puts those sacred words in your hands. Designed by Shawn Kilgarlin, a wife, mother of four, and mental health clinician from Shreveport, Louisiana, every ShopCatholic card is made to carry the words of faith into everyday life.
Laminated with gold accents, sized to tuck into a Bible, a wallet, or a pocket — the prayer Jesus taught us, always within reach.

Prayer
The Our Father
Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy name;
Thy kingdom come;
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us;
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Frequently Asked Questions - Our Father Prayer Card
Is the Our Father the same as the Lord’s Prayer?
Yes. The Our Father and the Lord’s Prayer are two names for the same Christian prayer.
For example, Catholics commonly call it the Our Father because of its opening words. In contrast, many other Christian traditions use the name Lord’s Prayer.
In addition, Jesus teaches this prayer to His disciples in Matthew 6:9–13. The prayer includes several important themes:
- Honoring God’s name
- Seeking God’s will
- Asking for daily needs
- Seeking forgiveness
- Forgiving others
- Asking for guidance
- Seeking protection from evil
Therefore, both names refer to the same prayer taught by Jesus. Ultimately, the Our Father remains one of the central prayers of Christian life.
Is this card only for Catholics?
No. The Our Father is a Christian prayer shared across many traditions.
For example, Catholics, Protestants, and Orthodox Christians pray the Our Father. Therefore, this prayer card can be meaningful for Christians from different traditions.
In addition, the card makes a thoughtful gift for family members, friends, and loved ones. Most importantly, its message centers on the prayer Jesus taught His disciples.
Ultimately, the Our Father Prayer Card offers a meaningful way to share prayer and faith with others.
What occasions is this card perfect for?
First Communion, Confirmation, Baptism, funerals, sympathy gifts, hospital visits, RCIA graduation, or simply as a daily reminder tucked into a Bible or wallet. It’s also a wonderful card for children learning to pray for the first time — the prayer Jesus taught is the perfect place to start.
Can I order in bulk for my parish or ministry?
Absolutely. We offer packs of up to 100 cards — perfect for Mass handouts, religious education classes, hospital ministry, prison ministry, or any outreach that wants to put the Lord’s Prayer in someone’s hands. Bulk orders ship quickly, usually same day or within 24 hours if in stock.

A Mission Behind Every Card
Every ShopCatholic purchase helps support a mission centered on faith, service, and giving.
ShopCatholic was founded by Shawn Kilgarlin, a wife, mother of four, mental health clinician, and life coach. Her mission extends beyond creating meaningful Catholic products.
Each Christmas Eve, Shawn donates thousands of gifts to people in need through Holy Angels. She also volunteers at addiction treatment centers and provides grounding books and group classes.
Her children, Loyola University students, and local high school students also help prepare gift bags for families in need. These efforts are funded personally by Shawn.
When you purchase a Kilgarlin prayer card, you become part of that mission.
