Who was St. Peter?
St. Peter was one of the twelve apostles of Jesus and the first Pope of the Catholic Church. Born Simon, he was renamed Peter (meaning "rock") by Jesus, who said "Upon this rock I will build my Church." Despite his human failings — including denying Christ three times — he became the fearless leader of the early Church and was martyred in Rome around 64 AD.

When should I pray this novena?
A novena is traditionally prayed over nine consecutive days. The Feast of St. Peter and Paul is June 29th, making the nine days leading up to it a beautiful time to pray this novena. It can also be prayed any time you seek St. Peter's intercession for courage, leadership, or a return to faith.
